John Fulleylove
1844–1908

John Fulleylove was born in Leicester in 1844 and at sixteen was articled to a firm of architects. In his twenties he became a professional artist, travelling widely through Europe. His drawings of Greek landscape and architecture were widely praised, and led to him becoming, in the words of one obituary, “among the most distinguished architectural draughtsmen of our time”. He died after a short illness in 1908.
