Rose Barton
1856–1929

Educated privately, Rose Barton studied art in London and Paris and divided her time as a working artist between Dublin and London, before finally settling in Knightsbridge, London, in 1903. She exhibited widely and in 1911 was elected a full member of the Royal Watercolour Society. She illustrated a book about Dublin published in 1898; her only other published work was A&C Black’s Familiar London, for which she provided both text and illustrations.
